Rishabh enters Final

CLTA, Chandigarh, June 9, 2016                                                   In boys U-18 CLTA trainee Rishabh Sharda defeated Dipin Wadhwa in straight sets. Rishabh took 1^st set 6-1. In the 2^nd set Dipin gave some resistance to Rishabh and made it 6-6 in the 2^nd set. In the tie break Rishabh used his experience and closed the 2^nd set and match 7-6(1). In another semi final Gurjot Sidhu defeated Naresh Badgujar of CHART 6-2, 6-2.

In girls U-18 Punyatoya Mohapatra defeated Ashpreet Kaur Bajwa in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. In 2^nd semi final Sarah Dev defeated Kavya Sawhney in an easy match 6-1, 6-1.

In girls U-16 semis top seed Sarah Dev defeated CHART trainee Princy without conceding a game 6-0, 6-0. In another Semi Final Kavya Sawhney won against Anu Verma 6-2, 7-6 (4).

In boys U-16 semis Dipin Wadhwa defeated Naresh Badgujar in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. Lokender Pun won from Aakarshit Mahajan in a three setter match. Aakarshit took 1^st set in tie break 7-6(4). In the 2^nd set Lokender came back strongly and played consistently to close the 2^nd set 6-2. In the final set Lokender Pun used his experience and closed set and match 6-2. Doubles matches are under progress.

Singles finals will start tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. at CLTA Tennis Stadium.
