Dalwinder will face V M Ranjeet in Men’s Final

CLTA, Chandigarh, October 20, 2016                In the men’s singles semi final 2^nd seed Dalwinder Singh defeated Faisal Qamar in a three setter match. In the 1^st set Dalwinder lost 4-6. In the 2^nd set Dalwinder came back strongly and used his experience to close the set 6-2. In the 3^rd set both players held their serve and made it 3-3. After that Dalwinder used his big serve and played third ball nicely to close the set and match 6-3. In another semi final V M Ranjeet got a walk over from Paramveer Singh Bajwa.

In the women’s singles semi final 2^nd seed Smriti Punyani of Delhi defeated Himani Mor in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. In another semi final  Neeru Rapriya defeated Kavya Sawhney in a three setter match 6-1, 6-7(2), 6-1.

In men’s doubles semi final top seeds Vilasier Khate and Ranjeet Singh defeated Mohit Bhardwaj and Faisal Qamar in a three setter match 3-6, 6-4, 10-8. In another semi final Ishaqe Iqbal and Saurvar Sukul got walk over from Paramveer and Param Pun.

Women’s doubles are under progress.

In boys singles semi finals CHART trainee Shashikant Rajput defeated Yuvraj Singh Kooka in a three setter match 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. In the 2^nd semi final Naresh Badgujar of CHART defeated Udit Kamboj in straight sets 7-6(4), 6-2. In the girls U-16 singles semi final Srishti Dhir and Princy Panchal defeated their opponents Priyanka Jakhar and Simran Pritam 0-6, 7-6(4), 6-1 and 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in three setters respectively.

Final matches of all categories will be played tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. onward at CLTA Tennis Stadium Complex tomorrow.
