Krishan, Sarabjot, Sidharth move into 2^nd Round

CLTA, Chandigarh, February 6, 2017               In the boys 1^st round 2^nd seed CHART trainee of Haryana Krishan Hooda won the 1^stmatch from Hitesh Yalamnchili in a one sided match. In the 1^st set Krishan blanked Hitesh without conceding a single game 6-0. In the 2^nd set Krishan dominated from the beginning and without facing much resistance took the set and match 6-1. Another CHART trainee of Punjab Sarabjot Singh defeated Parv Nage in a three setter match. Sarabjot lost 1^st set 0-6. In the 2^nd set Sarabjot came  back strongly and took the 2^nd set without conceding a game 6-0. In the final set Sarabjot used his experience and played intelligently to close the set and match 6-2. Sidharth Goel of CLTA also won from Deepansh Lather by conceding only one game 6-1, 6-0. Top seed Ajay Malik defeated Ayush Mann in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

In the girls Lakshanya Vishwanath blanked Mrinalini Sharma without conceding a game 6-0, 6-0. Renee Singh and Tanish Pranjal also won from their opponents Sanvi Ahluwalia and Yashvini Reddy at an identical score of 6-3, 6-1.

2^nd round matches will be played from 9:00 a.m. onwards at CLTA Tennis Stadium.
