Naresh, Shashikant, Harleen and Divija clinch Titles

CLTA, Chandigarh, September 2, 2016           In U-14 boys final Naresh Badgujar of CHART defeated his practice partner another CHART trainee Krishan Hooda in straight sets. In the 1st set both the players held their serves and made it 4-4, in the 9th game Naresh attacking from baseline with his aggressive forehand and backhand broke the opponent’s serve to lead 5-4. Then Naresh was serving for the set. In the 10th game Naresh played few forehand down the line winners to close the set 6-4. In the 2nd set 1st game Naresh broke Krishan’s serve and took next three games in a row to lead 4-0. After that Krishan fought back and took next 2 games. At a score of 4-2 Naresh played consistently with his attacking forehands and backhands to close the set and match 6-2.

In boys U-16 Shashikant Rajput of CHART defeated Naresh Badgujar in straight set 6-4, 6-3.

In girls U-14 Divija Godse defeated Simran Pritam of CHART in straight sets. In the 1st set Divija was leading 3-0. After that Simran Pritam fought back very well and made it 3-3. In the next 2 games both players held their serve. In the 9th game Simran broke Divija’s serve to serve for the 1st set. Divija broke Simran’s serve again and held her seve to close the 1st set 7-5. In the 2nd set Divija conceded only one game close the set and match 6-1.

In girl U-16 final Harleen Kaur defeated Princy Panchal in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.

Mr. Megh Raj, Chief Operating Officer, CLTA gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up.
