Naresh, Shashikant, Prinkle, Srishti enter 2^nd Round

CLTA, Chandigarh, November 7, 2016                In boys U-16 singles 1^st round CHART trainee Naresh Badgujar defeated Shaurya Piplani of Delhi in straight sets. In the 8^th  game 1^st set Naresh Badgujar broke Shaurya’s serve and lead 5-3, Naresh was serving for the 1^st set and closed the 1^st set 6-4. In the 2^nd set Naresh played very well and closed the set and match 6-2. Other CHART trainees Bhupender Dahiya and Shashikant Rajput defeated their opponents Chaitanya Chaudhary and Harshit Yadav 6-3, 6-0 and 6-2,7-6(2) in straight sets respectively. Rishi Jalota of CLTA defeated Pranav Chopra in an easy match 6-4, 6-1.

In the girls U-16 singles top seed Prinkle Singh of CLTA defeated Konika Dhull in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Another CLTA trainee Srishti Dhir also won from Lavanya Sabharwal in an easy match without conceding a game 6-0, 6-0. CHART trainees Princy Panchal and Priyanka Jakhar defeated their opponents Japjot Kaur and Sanvi Ahluwalia 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 in straight sets respectively. CLTA trainees who moved into 2^nd round are Lagan Bidhan and Nimrat Kaur.

Boys and girls doubles matches are in progress.

            2^nd round matches will be played from 8:00 a.m. onwards at CLTA Tennis Stadium.
