Naresh storms into Finals in boys U-14 and U-16

CLTA, Chandigarh, September 1, 2016           In U-14 boys semi finals CHART trainee Naresh Badgujar defeated Nitin Jaipal in straight sets. In the 1st set Naresh conceded only one game to close the set 6-1. In the 2nd set both players played high quality tennis and in each and every point there were rallies of 8 to 10 balls, finally Naresh took 2nd set and match in tie break 7-6(2). In the 2nd semi final another CHART trainee Krishan Hooda defeated Aditya Roy in an easy match 6-3, 6-2.

In girls U-14 1st semi final Simran Pritam of CHART defeated Yana Dhamija by conceding only one game 6-1, 6-0. In another Semi Final Divija Godse blanked Nimrat Kaur Atwal of Chandigarh 6-0, 6-0.

In girls U-16 CHART trainee Princy Panchal defeated her practice partner another CHART trainee Simran Pritam in a three setter match 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Top seed Harleen Kaur defeated Anu Moar of CLTA in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

In boys U-16 semi finals Shashikant Rajput of CHART defeated Yuvraj Kooka in an easy match 6-1, 6-0. In another semi final Naresh Badgujar defeated his practice partner Bhupender Dahiya 6-3, 6-3.

Bhavesh and Yuvraj clinch Doubles Title

          In boys U-16 doubles final Bhavesh Aggarwal and Yuvraj Kooka of CLTA defeated Nitin and Shrut Mohan in a three setter match 7-6(5), 3-6, 10-6.

In the girls U-16 doubles final Harleen Kaur and Shamita Yadav defeated Japjot Kaur and Konika Dhull in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

Finals will be played from 9:00 a.m. onward at CLTA Tennis Stadium.
