Vikrant upset 7th Seed Vijay Bhardwaj

CLTA, Chandigarh, Monday, November 19 2012.                                   CHART trainee Vikrant Dahiya upset 7^th seed Vijay Bhardwaj 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. Other seeds in Men’s Singles move to 2^nd round with straight set wins. Vijay Bhardwaj won the 1^st set 6-4. After that Vikrant Dahiya rallied and used variations to win the 2^nd set 6-1 in the final set. Vikrant broke Vijay in the 5^th and 9^th game to win the set and match 6-3.

In the women’s Megha Sherawat upset 6^th seed Sanya Madan. Megha won 6-3, 7-5. In another closely contested match 3^rd seed Sayali Bhilare defeated local girl Ashima Garg 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. All the other seeds move to 2^nd round with straight set wins. Pre-Quarters of Singles will be played at CLTA from 9:00 a.m. onwards.
