Jack Draper, Dhruv Sunish, Mehak Jain and Axana Mareen enter Finals


CLTA, Chandigarh, January 06, 2017              – In the boys singles finals Dhruv Sunish of India will face 3rd seed Jack Draper of Britain in the ITF Juniors World Ranking Tennis Championship. In the 1st singles semi final Dhruv Sunish of India defeated Sergey Fomin of Uzbekistan in straight sets 7-5, 6-3. In another semi final 3rd seed Jack Draper (GBR) upset top seed Siddhant Banthia (IND) in a three setter match. Siddhant won the 1st set 6-2. In the 2nd set Jack came back strongly and took the 2nd set 7-5. In the final set Jack played high quality tennis and closed the set and match without conceding a game 6-0.

In the girls singles top seed Mahak Jain (IND) defeated 3rd seed Thasaporn Naklo (THA) in an easy match 6-2, 6-2. In another semi final 4th seed Axana Mareen (BEL) blanked Rhea Verma of India in an easy match 6-0, 6-0.

Usung, Hua-Chen, Kuan, Mananchaya Doubles Champions

            In boys doubles final top seed Uisung Park / Hua-Chen Yu defeated Vasisht Cheruku / Jack Draper in a three setter match 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.

In the girls doubles final 4th seed Kuan Yi Lee / Mananchaya Sawangkaew defeated Adehhina Esther / Heath Gamma also in a three setter match 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.

Finals of boys and girls will start tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at CLTA Tennis Stadium.
